36 VIEWS OF MT. WASHINGTON
This most recent series titled "36 Views of Mt. Washington" is about the wonderful and ever-changing view of that magnificent mountain that I enjoy out of my studio window in Jackson, NH, emulating the tradition of Hokusai's "36 Views of Mt. Fuji" and inspired by Cezanne's long and continuous re-engagement in his series of paintings of Mont Sainte-Victoire. This project began at the outset of the summer of 2018, with the goal of making at least 36 paintings of this subject of varying sizes, formats, views and seasons over the course of the next few years.
