365 Views of Mt. Washington Series
This most recent series expands on the initial "36 Views of Mt. Washington" to now encompass 365 expected paintings. This expanded series remains about the wonderful and ever-changing view of that magnificent mountain that I enjoy out of my studio window in Jackson, NH, emulating the tradition of Hokusai's "36 Views of Mt. Fuji" and inspired by Cezanne's long and continuous re-engagement in his series of paintings of Mont Sainte-Victoire. This ongoing project expanded during my Sabbatical of 2022-2023, with the goal of making paintings of this subject of varying sizes, formats, views and seasons over the course of the next number of years.
